I'm not exactly computer-illiterate. I'm frequently visiting LJ, myspace, and xanga. But I see these phrases on icons and such and I have no clue what their significance is. Maybe I didn't happen to be online the day when the phrase magically became popular...Can any of you answer this?
What do phrases like "in ur housez, trashing ur roomz" mean? I see them on LJ, myspace, etc.?
They are usually found on Funny Pictures of Cats see the link below. People probably take the Phrases and use them elsewhere.
Reply:No idea why everybody thinks your question is about lolcats...
The "I'm in ur *****, (verb)ing ur *****" macro* began as "I'm in ur base killing ur doodz." It's a message that popped up in various real time strategy video games indicating that one player had infiltrated the other player's headquarters (base), and was killing off his men/units (doodz) who were undefended and behind the front lines. * a macro is a "formula" used to build variations on a phrase, much like an algebraic formula. Other macros include the lolcats that the other answerers mentioned, the "I can has cheezburger?" variation on lolcats, the "O RLY?" owls, and many more. For more reading you can read up on image macros and memes.

Reply:They really don't have a significance-someone took a ball and rolled with it and now they are everywhere...
Reply:The best, most sensible answer I could find for you was on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolcat
