What do you do if your friend likes you, but the feeling just isn't mutual?

There's this girl that I'm pretty good friends with, and we talk alot on IM and email, but not too much face to face. Anyways, apparently, she had a xanga website that she used to sort of, for lack of a better word, vent her feelings about her life. Well, I found that website, and then I told her that I had found it, to which she was very upset about, but quickly got over it and simply said that she was over it. Now I know this isn't true, because her best friend who she tells just about everything to says she still likes me.





I have no clue what to do. She's really nice, and I don't want to hurt her feelings. Also, she doesn't realize that I'm aware that she likes me. Any help is welcome with great thanks.

if you don't like her, you don't like her. not a big deal. just be her friend.
Reply:Then keep your mouth closed. So far if she doesn't know that you know she likes you then her feelings can't get hurt. Wait until she's ready to tell you, if ever, then you can discuss just being friends.

Reply:if i were you i would stay away. just drift away from her. try to let her feelings for you slowly die out i guess. poor you. must be really awkward. nonetheless, you really must try to stay away lest you hurt her.
